Can Pain In Shin Caused Due To Soreness Of Muscles?

I was sitting cross legged for a while and now My right shin hurts. The pain isn t constant and partially goes away when I sit upright or stand.. I didn t sit in that position for two long because I kept getting up and stretching. Could my muscles be sore, or could it be something else?

Hello,

As most people have forgotten the habit to sit on a floor with crossed leg sitting there is reduced flexibility in the joints and due to which the muscles get strain. Also, the flexibility in the muscles is reduced and due to sitting in crossed leg position there is the disruption in the blood supply leading to pain.

I will advise doing simple stretching exercises for the lower limbs so when you do cross sit it should not lead to symptoms again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
