Can Otocin O Be Given For The Child Complaining Of Ear Pain?

Otocin O for Child complaining of ear pain My child is complaining of ear pain now. He had fever couple of days back which is under control now and he continues to have a cold and cough - we consulted the doctor again today morning and were prescribed to continue medication (Viscodyne and Sinarest AF) for his cold/ cough. It is too late in the night and we have the ear drops Otocin-O . I m not sure if this can be given to the child - he is 4 yrs old. Please advise urgently.

Thanks for the query.
Otocin-o ear drops usually contain an anti biotic, an anti inflammatory drug and a corticosteroid. This are all made to act locally. This drug is very effective for very local and simple inflammatory reactions. If the ear each is due to acute otitis media you may need to give oral antibiotics (like amoxycillin) as well.
You can use thr drop after confirming the infection in the ear by the doctor.
See a doctor if the problem persists.
Hope i helped you.
