Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concern.
Incomplete data like age, gender, presenting symptoms, etc.
Since you have completed a course of Azithromycin for the eradication of Chlamydiae there is no need to take Cefixime for the treatment of Gonorrhea (which happened to be co-existing in your case) because Azithromycin is effective against Gonorrhea as well. As a matter of fact;
1. To avoid re-infection, both the sex partners should be treated for these sexually transmitted diseases.
2. It’s important not to have unprotected vaginal, oral or anal sex until treatment is completed & the infection has cleared up.
Hope I could answer your query.
A feed back is appreciated.
