Can Neuropathy Be Detected On Emg Or Mri?

I had a right shoulder labrim clean up from a small tear days later after surgery I started having burning on my back and pain with a really bad pitched on my back. Now the md says it could be a nearophy

In my right shoulder / nerve damage. Will it show on the emg or the mri

After the labral clean up if there is burning and pain, then there are high chances of a neuropathy. If a nerve is irritated, it will cause these problems.
You should undergo a MRI study which will tell about the inflammation of the nerve and along with that will also give information about the collection/surrounding inflammation if any.
EMG can give information about the nerves but it will be limited to the nerves only. Won't tell much about other findings. However, it is a good study to check the nerves only.
So, I would advise you to undergo a MRI study followed by an EMG if nothing is seen on MRI.
