Can Missed Periods With Negative HPT Results Indicate Onset Of Menopause?

I have regular menstrual cycles of 27-29 days. I am now going on day 49 without periods but so far pregnancy tests done on days 36,40 &49 are negative. Could the results be false negatives or could I be starting menopause? I just turned 45 2 weeks ago. I was pregnant 3 years ago via IUI but it ended up in a miscarriage due to anembryonic pregnancy. I have never been able to get pregnant again even with embryo tranfer with my own eggs or with embryos from donnor eggs.

Thank you for asking the question.

You are regular on period. For the first time you did not get the period upto 49 days. Most common cause for missed period is pregnancy, but you had performed HPT also, all result you get is negative. Sometimes these test may be false..
So my advice is to confirm pregnancy, do the ultrasound to become sure about pregnancy without worry for any thing.
Also menopause does not start suddenly.
