Can Metoprolol And Lisinopril Causes Thinning Of Skin And Acid Reflux?

I am taking metotopal, lisinopril and February added amlodipine and have been experiencing acid relux and thinning of skin on my hands and arms. Could this combination cause this. My blood pressure has been down since taking the amlodipine but would like to get off of the other. Can you give me any information on this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Do you have any other health issue apart from hypertension? The medicines you are taking are very less likely related to thinning of skin and acid reflux. Although, if you are experiencing increased frequency of acid reflux, I suggest antacids like Pantoprazole can help. For the thinning of skin, you can consult a dermatologist or your current doctor and get it examined. A physical examination is required to come to a conclusion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
