Can Menstrual Bleeding Be Stopped Medically?

Hiya I m on holiday atm n started taking medroxyprogesterone 10mg on last Friday this Sunday just gone came on my period ... I wanted to stop my period not come on ! Is their any way I can still stop it or do I have to wait it out now ? This is my first time ever in taking contraceptive pills so wouldn t know anything... I just want my period to stop so I can go swimming while I m on holiday till next Tuesday... debbie
