Can Medication For H Pylori Causes Abnormal Pain In The Arm?

Hi I was prescribed amoxicillin, clarithromycin and lansoprazole for h pylori. I began the regimen on the 13th and everything has been fine up until tonight. Out of no where (it was time for my next dose) my left arm tensed up really tight like a blood pressure cuff, and my hand was numb. That has never happened before so I was wondering if it could be a side effect to these antibiotics or could it potentially be something more severe? It lasted approximately ten minutes by the way Thank you

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

This is not a likely side effect of the medication or the combination of meds.

Based on the description, the pain and numbness may be due to muscle spasm or abnormal function of nerves (peripheral neuropathy).
If there was associated chest pain/shortness of breath or palpitations then the heart would also need to be considered.

If this recurs, then you should see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
