Can Measles Cause Itchy, Soft Bumps On Vagina?

Hi i have this itchy and tender/soft bump (or lump. I dont really know what s the difference) on my vagina (the folded part. I think its called labia major). This is the second day that its been itching much. Although i do seem to recall that the itchy feeling started last week but it was not that itchy much. It was only today that i checked my vagina. I also have measles as of now. Im not sure if it can be a cause.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to local inflammation.

Nothing much to worry as it will settle by itself in a couple of days.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
