Can Lupitus Cough Syrup Work For Cough Happening After Huge Alcohol Intake?
My husband has consumed a lot of alcohol.and he s having a terrble cough since last 3 to 4 days.he hasn t taken any medicine as yet.he s coughing terribly right now.I have lupitus syrup with me at home even tough he s drunk can I give him two spoons of syrup right now to control his cough ?will it react on him?

Since your husband is still intoxicated, giving him cough syrup may make him more drowsy. Apart from this, there is no reason why you shouldn't give him the cough syrup. You should consult a doctor for the cough as he may be having an infection that would require treatment with a course of antibiotics. Just giving him cough syrup will not make much of a difference. While he is intoxicated, ensure that he does not take any food or drink in supine posture as it may be aspirated into his lungs. Make him sit before he takes anything.
