Can Lithium Battery Explosion Cause Swollen Eyes And Red Face?

my daughters apple computer lithium battery exploded. It happened in the middle of the night. the computer was on the floor next to her bed. the next morning her eyes were almost swollen shut, her face was bright red, and swollen and black and blue.
