Can Leprosy Be Transmitted Through Sexual Contact?
hello doc, if someone has diagnosed as leprosy [small patch of skin been discolored on the arm ] , and how safe to have sex with such patners? am dating a guy and he recently went to doctor and they did some biopsy for his skin which had small patch of discoloration on his arms and said it is leprosy, advised ascazin and Amylac cream . but this is advised from a dermatologist who denied the results of other doctor who said it is leprosy, am not comfortable now please advise me

Leprosy can spread to health person through contact also.respiratory droplets have also been identified as a mode of spread.The treatment which is given to your friend is not for leprosy. I advice you to reconfirm the diagnosis as leprosy.
