Can Kidney Stones Be The Cause Of FUO?

For 18 months I have had FUO, severe fatigue, myalgias, and kidney stones. Currently have a 8mm stone in the Left lower pole.. is there a chance that my stones are the cause of the FUO and will removing them help? Previous stones have been calcium oxalate, brushite and calcium apatite.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Fever occurs as a result of the body's inflammatory response that can occur as a result of the stones or any other inflammatory process in the body.

Removal may help so you can see if this works of you.

I hope this helps
