Can Increased Appetite Be Related To Mosquito Bites?

My daughter got some mosquito bites on Saturday. Today is Monday. She has thrown up twice. She feels hungry and wants to eat and has energy but I'm worried that it may be something other than a stomach virus. Should I wait a few days to see what happens?

Dear Friend
Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Charu , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion.
This is unlikely because of a mosquito bite.
However , if a person gets jaundice due to malaria or any other infection due to mosquito bite , then this can happen as jaundice can cause reduce blood sugars. But this would be associated with lot more other symptoms like fever , apparent jaundice.
I just told you a possibility. However , it is unlikely.
Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion.
Good Luck.
