Around 3 weeks ago, i was goin through metro and somebody pocked a pin in my hand..after 2.5 weeks...i took pus test and it was around 15-12 which was very high..Now im very scared that could i have the symptoms of HIV?
Explanation, 1. You mentioned that somebody poked you with a pin in your hand that leades to infection with pus discharge 2. This is due to the septic and by the bacterial infection only but not because of hiv because the hiv virus can live in air less than 2-3seconds and it will die soon 3. You done the pus culture test at the 3rd week of the incidence happened 4. Hiv will get replicated in the blood at around 6th week of risk exposure 5. If you sre so much worried about hiv then the test called RNA replication test is of diagnostic use since the 1st week of getting exposure to hiv infection 6. Antibiotics are generally adviced for your problem like ampiclox 500mg
