Can Home Pregnancy Test Lead To False Negative Results?
I took a pregnancy test with morning pee after 2 minutes it was negative about 3 hrs later I walked by bathroom trash can took it out and there was 2 lines... I went out and bought a digital test took that showed not pregnant I than bought another test like the one I took this morning and that came back negative.... is there a chance that I'm pregnant? Are my levels not high enough during the afternoon that I'm not able to show a positive result I'm so confused
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern. Yes home pregnancy test can give false negative results. This is more common than false positive & normally occurs in early pregnancy. In early pregnancy quantity of HCG hormone is less in urine, so it is sometimes not detected by test kit. Normally afternoon urine sample has less chances to be positive in early pregnancy. Therefore using first morning urine is advised because it has greatest chances of being positive in very early pregnancy. You must be pregnant according to your query & are advised to do a repeat Home pregnancy test after a week with first morning urine or a blood pregnancy test.
