Can Hearing Problem Be Restored Completely?

Hi Doctor, I am suffering profound hearing loss in right ear from my child hood, mild hearing loss in left ear recently as well as vertigo since last three years. My Question:1. Is there any treatment for reverting to normal hearing? 2. I learnt from internet that Siddha ear foundation can resolve this problem within 3 hours, means normal hearing both ear. Is it true/possible?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of hearing loss in right ear since childhood which seems to be due to autoimmune inner ear disease leading to sensorineural hearing loss.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order CT scan , blood test , examination with otoscope. Doctor can recommend you surgery. You should use hearing aid as that is the best treatment possible. You should apply warm dry compresses. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin or penicillin, anti inflammatory medications. You should start taking ginkgo biloba supplement and drink green tea thrice a day.
