Hi, Epilive syrup contains levetiracetam which belongs to the group of medications known as anti-epiletic medications is used to treat seizures or fits in epilepsy. It can be used along with other medication as well. It helps to prevent seizures for as long as someone continues to take it. It works by slowing down electrical signals in the brain that cause seizures or fits. This medication can be used for controlling various types of seizures like myoclonic, partial onset and primarily generalized tonic clonic or gland mal. It can also help reduce symptoms like confusion, uncontrollable jerking movements, loss of awareness and fear or anxiety. It can take a few weeks for this medication to work and during this time you may your child may still have seizures. Missing doses may trigger a seizure.
