Can Endometriosis Cause Sciatica?

Hello, I am a 27 year old female. From an ultrasound I was diagnosed with ovarian cysts 5 years ago and 3 years ago I was diagnosed with a slight hypoactive thyroid. Along with that, ever since I started getting my monthly cycle at age 10, I have had extreme cramps that are accompanied by the worst sciatic leg pain every time, and only when I have pms cramps. I figure that its possible that I have sciatic endometriosis. If that is the case, I am just wondering if there is any way to tell how bad endometriosis can be after having it for possibly 17 years. Having cysts runs in my family on my mothers side. My mother and brother both have hypoactive thyroids and my aunt on mothers side had a hysterectomy. I have also miscarried a few months ago. I would just like to get an opinion even though laparoscopic surgery is the only to truly determine anything. Thank you.

Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomforts

As per your history is concerned i want to tell you that both diseases are different and it has no connection with sciatica so if you have endometriosis and want a baby tell your doctor to do a [conservative laparascopic surgical procedure]. So nothing to be worried at all.everyday use a heating pad to relax pelvic muscles. Do regular exercise. Take painkillers like ibuprofen if pain is severe.

Hope that helps
