Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. It is true that chromosomal abnormalities are the commonest reason for first trimester miscarriages. Elongation of a chromosome, especially an autosome, has not been specifically shown to cause abortions. Sex chromosome anomalies, translocations, deletions, aneuploidy, polyploidy, monosomy and trisomy are the ones observed. If the products of conception were examined in each pregnancy and cause detected, it would be most useful. Please contact a center for high risk pregnancy before you plan another pregnancy for further management. Hope this helps.
