Can Ear Infection Cause Fainting Spells, Unconscious Urination And Vomiting?
My daughter fainted and when she came conscious she was wet (pee on herself) and start vomiting. I took her to the ER and they did a blood work, an ekg and ct scan of her head and everything came out good. The next day she had fever of 102 for two days and her throat was bothering her. She went to see the doctor and she had pharyngitis and an ear infection. They prescribe her antibiotics. I need to know if the ear infection can cause the fainting, peeing and vomiting. I m so worry, she is 18. She started college this summer and since that she is been so sick. Does she need to see an specialist? If yes, what kind of specialist.
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Seizures may be caused by many medical conditions. Some of these possible causes may include: -Systemic infection including ear infections -Epilepsy -Metabolic/ionic imbalances like low blood levels of glucose, sodium, calcium or magnesium -Some drugs -Neuropathies I will suggest you have her treated for her ear infection and observe.Your Doctor may also run a serum electrolytes test to rule out any ionic imbalances. If the problem happens again, you see a neurologist for evaluation. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
