Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Dry Cough Be Caused Due To Some Bacterial Infection After Cataract Surgery?
I had cataract surgery in Oct. of 2016. The night after the surgery I developed a rash on my forehead and right side of my face. Two days after that I developed a dry cough for which I am still battling to get rid of. Is this caused by a bacterial infection from the surgery?
I think the rash is related to drugs you may be taking or bandages that were used during surgery. The cough is not related to surgery. Most probably it has allergic origin since it is dry cough. Using Desloratadine can help you with cough.
Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
