Can Dizziness, Head Pain And Blurred Vision Due To Trauma Be Treated?

Hi folks, my boyfriend fell over and banged his head late on Friday night. He had been drinking at the time so can not remember whether he went unconcious or not. Since then he has been feeling dizzy and sick and also his head is still hurting. His vision has gone a bit funny at times too. At first he thought it was just the hangover but it is still occuring now on Monday afternoon. Should he go to see a doctor or should he leave it for a few days? Many thanks. Mel

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes he need to see a doctor definitely for examination.may be needs some further investigations like X-rays and ct scan to exclude any internal bleeding. Head injury are serious many times so cannot just wait to see if it subsides itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
