Can Constipation Cause Numbness In Face, Head And Hands While Sleeping?
29, 130 lbs/ 5'8", and healthy overall, take no medications, take vitamins every second day, and I have constipation right now.
Main concern: I am waking up from exhausted sleep with scary sensations of numbness/puffiness in face, numbness extends to hands a bit, but mainly head and mainly left side (although whole face feels affected).... this only happens while sleeping. Can constipation cause this? Could I have low electrolytes causing numbness that wake me up? And if so, what are electrolytes, or how can I get more of them in me? I think water, but have been drinking plenty of that.... My stomach is churning around so that I can't sleep. Is this a sign that I may soon be able to have BM? Mostly scared of the numbness and waking up from deep sleep. Thanks!
