Can Constant High Fever For A Few Days Be Indicative Of Typhoid?

Dear Dr. I have been having high fever (102 to 103) for the last 6 days with severe discomfort in my abdomen accompanied by severe back pain and joint pain. I have been taking Norflox 400 for 3 days and then Norflox TZ. The fever sometimes comes to 99 but again goes up. Could this be Typhoid ?

See , fever in typhoid is of "step-ladder" type. that means , temperature rises , then stay there for a while , then again rises and stays there for a while , and then again rises.
And this kind of fever plus abdominal pain can be suggestive of typhoid. But to confirm the diagnosis , laboratory test (Widal test) should be done.
Also in typhoid there are "rose spots" (i.e. rose petal like pinkish red spots seen over abdomen and chest) sometimes.
