Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Change In The Manufacturers Of Tramadol Cause Any Side Effects?
I signed a pain contract because I take tramadol. I have a prescription from my dentist for another pain killer because I have n implant procedure. Will my doctor find out that I got this prescription if I use a different pharmacy. I am in California
Part of a pain contract is letting the doctor you have the contract with know about other pain meds prescribed. You should not be trying to break this contract by attempting to prevent his/her learning of it. Many states are now monitoring prescriptions for pain meds to track people abusing drugs. When someone uses different pharmacies for pain meds, that can be a red flag that the person is an addict. I don't know for sure if California is one of those states, but I would be surprised if it wasn't. So yes your doctor could find out. If you are having a problem with addiction, please talk to your doctor and get help. Addiction is a serious disease but it can be treated. Hope this helps.
