Can Chalazion Surgery Leads To Swelling In The Eye Lids?
i had chalazion surgery 2 weeks before, it was all fine but suddenly day before yesterday i.e. 2 days before my eye became red & starting swelling. Now it has become completely red & my lower & upper eye lid is having swelling. Its paining a liitle. Please tell me what should i do.
Hello It seems from the history that you have undergone chalazion surgery about 2 weeks ago and since last 2 days you are having redness of eyes with swelling and pain of the eye lid. Chalazion surgery will not cause pain but secondary infection can lead to these symptoms. These symptoms indicate inflammation of the preseptal tissues of the eyelid. The treatment is by use of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
