Can carmex be used on lips to soothe after having a dissolvable stitches?

hi, i had a rugby injury where i fractured my dento-alveolar and split my top lip in half, they used dissolvable stitches on my gum and upper lip. Can i use carmex on my lips to soothe them? because they are getting very dry, but i do not want to affect the stitches. thanks steve

Yes, you can apply it as far as you are not allergic to any of its products.

Avoid applying pressure or rubbing it vigorously on the lip such that the sutures are disturbed.
