Can Burning Sensation In The Vagina After Intercourse Be An Infection?

So I had sex about 35-48 hours ago and a burning sensation has followed about 4-6 hours after inntercorse. We used a condom that had a little lubricant but that was all. The burning hasn’t gotten any worse but it is still agravating. I have had a burning sensation after sex before but since this was a new partner I got worried. Could this be an infection or irritation due to dry sex? I don’t have an Oder or any more than usual discharge.

Hello,

Your burning sensation could be because of dry vagina or allergy to latex condom. Before sex it's advisable to practice more foreplay. It will help in increasing vaginal secretions and so less burning will be there in next intercourse. You can use 2% Lignocaine jelly before sex to reduce pain and burning during intercourse.
