Hello Welcome to HCM

Your husband has undergone neurosurgical procedure twice and he has also lost his hearing. He has developed change in mood and behaviour after that. He is getting angry and he is also forgetful.

- The change in behaviour and anger outburst in him may be due to personality changes caused by brain surgery. In a lot of individuals change in behaviour and personality is common after surgery on brain.

- Second reason of change is behaviour is loss of hearing. Loss of hearing might have resulted in significant distress which may present with anger outburst.

- Forgetfulness is common complaint after certain neurosurgeries.

- As such brain surgery can't complicate to bipolar disorder but symptoms of bipolar disorder can be aggravated by brain surgery. But as brain surgery is one of serious life event it can precipitate bipolar disorder.

Thanks
