Hello. I am a 16 year old on the birth control patch. My prescription got changed when I was supposed to get a refill of Ortho Evra; it is now Xulane. This week is my week off or the week I am supposed to get my period. I had unprotected sex approx. 2 weeks ago. I usually get my period 2-3 days after taking the patch off, but this time I started getting pre-period like symptoms the same day. I had a bit of blood in my underwear, but once I put on a pad, there was nothing more. I had passed 2 dark red, gooey clots that evening, and the next morning. About 2 hours later, a long, gooey, dark red clot was dangling above the toilet water, still inside me. Since then, I have only had a normal amount of blood once. Otherwise it is light red and gooey-looking. What could this mean? I m nervous.
