Can An Expired Tetanus Shot Be Taken After A Dog Bite?
I got bit by my dog, who is current on shots. I am also a nurse. I have some expired tetanus shots, by 5 yrs. would it be advisable to take one until i can get to a doctor. Are they still any good? YYYY@YYYY thank you very much.

Hello,
I would not advise you to use the tetanus shots which are past their expiry date. They would be ineffective by now, and thus would not give you any protection against Tetanus. More than this, the drug may have altered into something more toxic, and it would be dangerous then to inject this toxic liquid into your body.
As your pet dog is up to date with her shots, you could wait until you are able to see your doctor
