Can Alcohol Abuse Cause Insomnia, Anxiety And Fatigue?
I worked out for a month straight lifting max weights. I then went on a cruise ship where i drank a lot. When i came back I felt foggy but fine. Then I had an aura migraine in one of my classes and since then I've had trouble sleeping, eating and everything else. I've been feeling foggy, tired, anxious and depressed. I have worked out some but i'm not sure if it helps. It's bee 1.5 months since the cruise
A lot of adjustments. Currently, I am foggy after the biggest 1 day work out I've done in about 10 yr (7 mile run, weights, 10+ mile biking, and more), so I'm a bit biased on the possibility that dehydration and muscle fatigue are well-known to cause even a CHRONIC fatigue state. Alcohol withdrawal is well-known to cause increased brain stimulation (up to even fatal seizures) and the effects last weeks, but not generally this long. Make sure fluid intake is good. Lightly increase daily exercise (outdoors and in light...oh... light withdrawal can do this too). Consider dr appt for SSRI prescription if continuing.
not only are these common side effects of chronic alcohol abuse, they often last for a very long time. But I would NOT expect it from one single binge. Rather a lot of other possible causes both physical and depression
