Can Acute Rib Pain Be Due To Its Dislocation?

I was working in the yard, trimming shrub. I needed to use a branch cutter to cut a large branch from a bush. I was not strong enough to hold both hands on the cutter handle and clip the branch. I did a very foolish thing. I braced one handle on me chest about 2 inches below the collar bone and with both hands, I pulled hard on the cutter with the other. I felt something in the chest move, or slide, or pop. It did not hurt, but was absolutely wrong. That was Saturday. Today, Monday, there is terrible pain in that area of the ribs. No pain in the arms or problem raising my arms. But, it is very painful and some problem breathing. I feel better leaning forward and relaxing my elbows on a desk or table. Can I have "dislocated a rib?" I do not know is that is even possible, but it is the closest thing to what it felt like to me. Thanks.
