Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor I started using tryphasil pills on May and everything has been normal so I usually forgot to take pills on time for almost a week and I used withdrawal method during sex the last time now I m on my fourth red pill but I haven t been on my periods are there any possibilities I m pregnant?
If you did not use the pills on time for a week, this puts you at increased risk for pregnancy. The withdrawal method is not a reliable method of contraception as it offers very low protection, so you are at risk of pregnancy. On the other hand, you should wait 3-4 more days. If the periods are not coming after this time then you will need to have a pregnancy test.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
Regards,
