Can A Wound On The Head Cause Fever For An 11-month-old Baby Girl?

My 11 month old baby girl hit the back of her head while playing outside. She seemed fine but 6 hours after she got a fever and still has the fever now she also has a bad cough. Did she caught the little boy she was playing with cold? Or is the fever from the hit to her head?

Hi.Can understand your concern..As per your query the cause of fever in your 11 months baby is cough and cold .Fever will not be present primarilydue to hitting..You shouldn't worry and give her cough syrup along with antibiotics as prescribed by your pediatrician.For the time being you can give her warm water and syrup honnitus to reduce irritability in throat and chest due to cough..I hope the information helps you.You are welcome to have any further query on HCM.Take care.
