Can A Toric Lens Be Used In Place Of A Regular Lens?

Yes , I am a contact lens wearer and I wear a toric lens in my right eye because of an astigmatism...I wear a regular lens in the left eye...I lost my regular lens and have been wearing a toric in the left eye for last three months and it works but would like to know is this alright?.

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you wear toric lens in right eye. Toric lens is used for treatment of astigmatism and use of this lens for the eye without astigmatism will not be appropriate as this will not correct the vision in that eye and can cause problems like headache, eye strain...
Hence I advice you to go for contact lens of prescribed power for both the eyes.

Hope this is helpful to you.
Thank you
