Can A Renal Cyst Grow In Three Months?

Hi Doctor , I have renal cyst of 8 mm in my left kidney.Actually we scanned 3 months back and there was no cyst.but when we scanned today report says 8 nm cyst present. Is the cyst will form and grow with in three months? Or they missed to scan properly. Please explain.

Since the cyst is estimated at 8 mm which is less than a centimeter, it is possible that it developed in the last few months though technical error cannot be ruled out.

Most cysts are simple cysts that are not dangerous and only need to be monitored, this may be the case for you unless you are having related symptoms.

Your doctor may suggest this for you.
