Can A Pregnancy Test Be Negative But I Still Miss My Period?
Hello doc.... I had my period on 16 th dec , after a week had sex and took an i -pill within two hours , later I got my period once again on 27 th Dec... After dis I had sex , and haven t got my period yet , I even went for a pregnancy test but it turned out to be negative ..... What could be d reason for the delay in my periods

Your current menstrual disturbance can be attributed to the intake of the emergency pill. The pill contains high doses of hormone and this disrupts the hormonal milieu of the body, hence the withdrawal bleeding observed after the pill intake. Your next natural period can get delayed by a week or two. If you are overdue by ten days please see a specialist for further evaluation. Intercourse during the week after and the week before a period in a 28-30 day cycle is safe. Hope this helps.
