Can A Nil Period Be Due To A Pregnancy?

Please help. I lost my birth control pack while moving and missed a whole month of pills. I had very heavy bleeding for two days. As soon as I found my packs I started up again, however during that time I did have unprotected sex and havent had a period since. Am I pregnant?

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

Please do not worry.

I will suggest you to complete the current pack. Usually periods start within 3 to 7 days of finishing the pills.

If you still don't get your periods, then please get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

Even if you are pregnant, you can opt for termination of the pregnancy with medicines safely till 9 weeks of pregnancy under medical supervision.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
Dr . Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
