Can A Loop Diathermy Cause Early Periods?

Can a loop diathermy cause period to come a bit earlier than usual? It's at least 5 days early.I'm not sure if it's my period or just heavier bleeding which I know I should have checked out. I have no pains but do feel a bit spacey and more emotional than usual, thanks. Clare
