Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother passed out and was temporarily blind for about 10 minutes. Can a heart condition cause this? She is a very healthy 92 year old. She still drives, does all her own cooking and cleaning, buys her own groceries, etc. She had a stent put in 10 years ago but has had 2 incidents of passing out and being temporarily blind. What might be causing this?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the history of TIA (Transient Cerebral Ischemia ) then it may be due to cerebrovascular or cardiovascular condition and to rule out this EKG and CT of brain need to be done, it may be due to geriatric age hope this information helps.
