Having unvontrolled sugar level, itself can have many consequences apart from heart attack. Diabetics patient who have high blood sugar are at increased risk of having heart attack which could be secondary to infection. As these patient are susceptible to get infection. As far insulin is concern, sugar level are high at this point of time , insulin definately reqiured later on we can shift to oral drugs once we some control over raised blood sugar
