Can Zinc Supplement Be Taken With A Blood Thinner?
I am taking 40 mg of zinc twice a day included in an Ared 2 formula. Zinc is important for eye macular degeneration. It is also important for blood clotting and wound healing. On the other hand I am taking 60 mg a day of a blood thinner for atrial fibralation. Is there a conflict between the zinc and the blood thinner? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Yes, you can always take them simultaneously as a treatment for macular degeneration and atrial fibrillation. There are no drug interactions between the two of them.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
