Can Tylenol Be Taken For Extreme Toothache In 39th Week Of Pregnancy?

Hello there:) i have a question I'm 39 weeks pregnant and until last week I had no problems during my pregnancy. Last Thursday after being in pain for a couple of days I had my wisdom tooth extracted (#17) my pain never stopped and seemed to cover now the whole left side of my mouth. Last night I couldn't sleep in pain so I went back to the hospital dentist turns out that the inflation of my gums from hormones is pretty bed- I got a deep cleaning but I'm still in pain!!!! If I don't take Tylenol I'm in excruciating pain ... I need to take to Tylenol pills to get me through 4 hours. I did get a prescription for a mouth wash and I rinse with salt water every hour. Nothing is helping . Is there anything you can recommend???? I'm scheduled for induction next Wednesday . Thank you in advance

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Tylenol containing Acetaminophen which is a mild painkiller and is under the list of safe mediation during pregnancy..

Therefore if you have severe pain related to wisdom tooth extraction you can take Tylenol for relief from pain..
You should also do cool compresses over cheek as it will help in reducing pain and inflammation..
Continue doing warm saline gargles and antiseptic mouthwash gargles..
Avoid spicy foods.
Once you get the baby delivered you can get an x Ray done to rule out the exact cause of pain and treatment can be done accordingly..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
