Can Tamilflu Be Taken Until Two Days Before Elective Plastic Surgery?

I am scheduled to have elective plastic surgery on 02Jan. I started having flu-like symptoms on 25Dec and tested positive for the flu on 26Dec. I start tamiflu 75mg BID on 26Dec and will finish on 30Dec. If my symptoms and fever are gone by 02Jan, will I still be able to have surgery?

Hi.. Thanks for writing to HCM..
If you are completely normal and feel fit you can go for surgery..
Sometimes viral infection may cause prolonged recovery phase where you might not be feeling very comfortable.
Let your surgeon take the decision whether to go for surgery or not..
Discuss with him everything you want to..
Hope this information helps..
Take care..
