Plastic surgery for nose

My daughter is 2 Years old, and I would like to get her nose surgery done.

Her nose has gone on me and is broad which doesn't suits a girl.

Please suggest shall I go for surgery or shall I wait.

If Yes, please recommend from where should I get the same done.

its too early to get the nose surgery done, i think you should wait till the age of 12 years were the growth is completed and than can get the plastic surgery done if you feel like. most of the time these small smalldisturbances do get corrected with time

I had a poorly performed plastic nose surgery 10 years ago. I did not look my correct ethnicity after the surgery. My nose was upturned and pig like. I had a revision but I am not happy with the result to this day. I also broke my nose after the revision in an assault. My nose is crooked, I cannot breathe properly, and I hate my nasal appearance. I feel emasculated as my nose is not Indian or ethnic. Am I a good candidate for more nose surgery or is this BDD? I also have pain in my septum and have suffered from 10 years of anger, depression, and self loathing due to my appearance. I feel I look abnormal and have rage towards the surgeon as I believe he was unqualified and ignorant hence the damage and suffering. Please reply promptly and with as much detail. Thanks for the response.

My husband was diagnosed by a dermatologist with Basal Cell Carcinoma on the tip of his nose and was subsequently referred to a plastic surgeon for removal of it. Surgery was performed 11/2010. His nose is now terribly scarred. WADSC surgery was performed with an excision from nasal tip of approx. 13 x 17mm. Results of the biopsy were that there was no residual evidence of previously diagnosed BCC. Evidently the dermatologist got it all with his initial biopsy. At my suggestion, my husband did ask the surgeon if it was possible the dermatologist got it all and the surgeon seemed put off by the suggestion as though he knew what he was doing. The surgeon then performed a Superiorly Based V-Y Advancement Flap. My question is, was this level of invasive surgery even necessary? Is it customary to do all this with the end result being the dermatologist got it all with his initial biopsy? Also, given the size of the surgeon s excision, would it have been more appropriate for him to perform just a skin graft as opposed to a flap procedure? Of additional consideration: My husband is a smoker and was not told to cease smoking prior to the surgery. Wouldn t this have been prudent preoperative advice? Should they have performed a flap surgery knowing he was an active smoker? Thank you.

Hi, for years I have hated my nose . At most times than not it is stuffed in one or both nostrils, if not then it is runny and my nose is red from the constant wiping and tissues. Rare occasions I can breathe normally, but that doesn t last more than an hour or so. I have not research deviated symptoms but my family has said I should have surgery for it, I have gone as far as to say I would go under plastic surgery to also shape my nose to a better version. But the real problem at hand right now is this constant running , it is literally coming out of my nose with close consistency of water and at the rate of small leakage in a pipe. I was recently in California (northern region) and had the best 2 months of my Nose life... I just got back into Vegas yesterday and my nose is about 50% worse than it was when I left Vegas. I can t go many more days like this, my life is full of nose problems. Any advice Doc?
