General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
It's not safe to take Pristiq while on Trazodone.

If Pristiq is taken while on Trazodone this can increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called the serotonin syndrome which is characterized by confusion, hallucination, convulsion (fits), high BP and increased heart rate, fever, excessive sweating, blurred vision, muscle stiffness, tremor, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

In its severe form it may result in coma and even death.

You need to consult your doctor for an alternate effective but a safer medication for your sleep related issues.

Hope this answers your query.
Best regards.
