Hi,

Norethisterone is given to regularise the periods. Hormonal pills have to be taken regularly everyday at the same time. After finishing your course, you can plan for pregnancy.Although Norethisterone is not used as a contraceptive,it is better avoided in pregnancy and lactation.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
