Hi, I am taking doxycycline 100 mgs for a throat and cough. ( I am allergic to penicillin). I have just taken the first two today as instructed I had a headache before I started taking the tablets, but I took some paracetemol, and the headache cleared. Tonight I have a headache slightly stronger than that of last night. Can I take paracetemol . I am female, aged 67 thanks

Hello,
You can definitely take paracetamol again.
Both are different medicines and meant for different functions and they don't have any interaction between them.
While doxycycline is an antibiotic ,paracetamol is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine.
Thanks
